Designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune in 2013, the armchair is conceived around the idea of an embrace, with the open position of its arms communicating an invitation to sit and relax. Its distinctive high-back configuration gives the design a strong visual identity while preserving the inviting character at the heart of the Hug collection. Created for both living and hospitality environments, Hug High Back Armchair belongs to a broader family that includes a sofa, armchair, chair, and table. The extensive upholstery selection makes the armchair particularly adaptable to sophisticated residential and contract interiors. Arflex lists numerous textile options, including bouclé, cotton, wool, chenille, velvet, linen/cotton blends, and other textures, as well as several leather options. For interiors seeking contemporary Italian furniture with a distinctly Scandinavian design perspective, the Hug High Version offers a recognizable combination of personality, comfort-focused form, and premium upholstery possibilities.

Made in Italy
Usually ships within 6-8 weeks
Free Shipping (USA & Canada)

Key Features

Designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune

Introduced in 2013

High-version armchair

Distinctive open-arm design inspired by the welcoming gesture of a hug

Available in an extensive selection of Arflex fabrics and leathers

Part of the wider Hug collection

Suitable for living and hospitality applications

Materials & Finishes

Upholstery: Available in multiple Arflex fabrics, including viscose bouclé, cotton bouclé, chenille, wool, cotton velvet, linen/cotton blends, recycled-wool textures, jacquards, and additional textile categories.

Leather: Available upholstery selections include Ambra, Giada, Perla, and Rubino. [arflex.it]

Base / Wooden Details: The official product page identifies base and wooden-detail finish categories.

Ideal For

Luxury living rooms, reading areas, executive offices, hotel lounges, reception areas, and sophisticated hospitality interiors.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0581/5825/2109/products/Frame-5-1_abf5aeb2-744b-428e-a784-e0a10a691b81.png?v=1710147550
