Part of the legendary Wire Chair Collection, the DKX Chair reinterprets the classic Eames shell chair through an intricate network of welded steel wire, creating a design that is both visually lightweight and structurally robust. Featuring the distinctive X-Base, the DKX combines sculptural elegance with exceptional stability. The chair's open wire construction creates transparency and visual rhythm, making it an enduring icon of mid-century modern furniture that continues to complement contemporary interiors. Manufactured by Vitra under license from the Eames Office, the DKX remains a celebrated design classic for residential, hospitality, and commercial environments worldwide.

Made in Swiss
Usually ships within 6-8 weeks
Free Shipping (USA & Canada)

Materials & Finishes

Welded steel wire shell

Powder-coated or chrome-plated finish options

Optional seat pad cushion

Optional two-piece "Bikini" upholstery

Protective floor glides

Precision-engineered steel base

Available finishes and upholstery options vary by configuration.

Dimensions

Width: 49 cm (19.3")

Depth: 51 cm (20.1")

Height: 85 cm (33.5")

Seat Height: 43 cm (16.9")

Dimensions may vary slightly depending on the selected finish and upholstery option.

Ideal For

The Vitra DKX Chair is ideal for:

Contemporary dining rooms

Mid-century modern interiors

Home offices

Conference rooms

Restaurants and cafés

Boutique hotels

Creative workspaces

Reception areas

Design collector spaces

Functionality

The DKX Chair delivers a unique balance of comfort, strength, and visual lightness.
