The Arflex Bel Air Modular Sofa, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune in 2020, is a refined modular seating system characterized by simple proportions, understated elegance, and generous seating. Designed for both residential living spaces and hospitality environments, Bel Air Modular Sofa combines a clean architectural profile with the flexibility of separate modular elements. Its structure combines metal and poplar plywood with differentiated-density shaped polyurethane upholstery, while elastic straps provide seat suspension. Seat cushions use differentiated-density polyurethane, and the back cushions combine polyurethane with channelled goose feather for a softer, more inviting character. The collection can be upholstered in fabric or leather and is supported by slender metal feet available in black, graphite, or chrome finishes. Selected configurations can also incorporate marble surfaces, creating an elegant material contrast within the modular composition.
