Arflex Hug High Back Armchair | Claesson Koivisto Rune

The Hug Armchair - High Version by Arflex brings a welcoming, expressive presence to contemporary interiors. Designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune in 2013, the armchair is conceived around the idea of an embrace, with the open position of its arms communicating an invitation to sit and relax. Its distinctive high-back configuration gives the design a strong visual identity while preserving the inviting character at the heart of the Hug collection. Created for both living and hospitality environments, Hug High Back Armchair belongs to a broader family that includes a sofa, armchair, chair, and table. The extensive upholstery selection makes the armchair particularly adaptable to sophisticated residential and contract interiors. Arflex lists numerous textile options, including bouclé, cotton, wool, chenille, velvet, linen/cotton blends, and other textures, as well as several leather options. For interiors seeking contemporary Italian furniture with a distinctly Scandinavian design perspective, the Hug High Version offers a recognizable combination of personality, comfort-focused form, and premium upholstery possibilities.
