The Arflex Naviglio Modular Sofa, designed by Umberto Asnago in 2007, is a refined Italian seating system characterized by rigorous geometry softened through a sophisticated use of materials. The construction combines metal and poplar plywood, with elastic straps supporting the seat and backrest. Shaped polyurethane foam in differentiated densities provides the structural upholstery, while the seat cushions combine differentiated-density polyurethane with channelled goose feather. A distinctive wengé-stained ash wooden detail complements graphite-lacquered metal feet, adding warmth and definition to the tailored upholstered form. Naviglio Modular Sofa is available in fabric or leather. According to the official technical documentation, fabric covers are fully removable, while leather covers are not.
