Designed in 1972 by the visionary Cini Boeri for Arflex, the Pecorelle Armchair (Italian for "little sheep") is an iconic and sculptural piece of Italian Modernism. Boeri's design drew inspiration from the natural world—specifically, the comforting image of a flock of sheep, and the large-scale landscape-wrapping works of artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude. Defined by its soft, compact, and deeply cushioned body of differentiated-density polyurethane, it offers generous comfort. The chair sits playfully atop slender, black lacquered metal legs that evoke an animal's limbs, giving the piece a light, almost floating appearance. Features a poplar plywood frame and a sprung base of elastic straps, ensuring superior quality. The fully removable cover makes maintenance simple, with the option to use fur upholstery to enhance the "little sheep" concept. A delightful fusion of art and functionality, the Pecorelle Armchair is both a whimsical statement piece and an elegant addition to any indoor space.
