Designed by the pioneering architect Cini Boeri in 1972, the Pecorelle Sofa is a fascinating and unconventional variation of the iconic Strips modular system. Its name, which translates to "little sheep," suggests its playful inspiration—a soft, voluminous form resting on legs. Boeri was also influenced by the work of artist Christo, reinterpreting the concept of "packaging" or wrapping objects in fabric. The Pecorelle's defining feature is the beautiful contrast between its soft, padded structure and its slender, black lacquered metal legs, which distinctly resemble an animal's silhouette. The generously cushioned structure utilizes differentiated-density polyurethane foam. Like the Strips, the fabric cover is fully removable, combining radical practicality with deep, enveloping comfort. Its relaxed and playful design makes the Pecorelle sofa a sophisticated statement piece for any contemporary living or hospitality space
