Jean Nouvel Design’s Face à face is a fresh take on architectural bathtubs and washbasins, and marks the start of the collaboration between Agape and the French architect. The freestanding bathtub is constructed using an innovative system of concealed joints, which creates an illusion that its surfaces are simply approaching each other. The result is a freestanding bathtub that is both imposing and light, essential and material, generous and functional, with surfaces that brush against each other to become a backrest. Careful attention to the proper angle of each surface means that the bathtub is designed to be a comfortable nest where you can sit, lie down, read, and relax.
