The Kris Kros Hanging Lamp is a brilliant exploration of controlled chaos and organic form. Embodying Kenneth Cobonpue’s love for intricate, textural nesting structures, this fixture transforms raw architectural spaces into warm, moody enclaves filled with complex, beautiful shadows. True to its playful name, the Kris Kros Hanging Lamp features a fluid, teardrop or globular silhouette formed by an overlapping labyrinth of hand-woven material. Master craftsmen crisscross fine, lightweight twigs or metal fibers around a central core, deliberately leaving varying gaps throughout the weave. The magic happens when the central light source is turned on. Because the outer shell acts as a random, natural sieve, it filters the light into a dramatic web of illumination. The walls and ceilings surrounding the lamp are instantly painted with a rich, immersive tapestry of soft shadows, turning the entire room into a multi-dimensional canvas. The hand-woven, intersecting strands provide incredible depth, making the lamp look like an elegant, floating nest even in broad daylight. Uniquely engineered to emphasize the space around the lamp, projecting a web of light and shadow that enhances the room's atmospheric mood. Available in natural tear-drop and rounded geometries that soften sharp lines and harsh angles in modern architecture. Stunning as a standalone statement, but scaled perfectly to be grouped together at staggered heights for a cascading, ethereal installation.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
