The Vitrail Mirror, designed by Inga Sempé for Magis, is a modern mosaic that reinterprets classic Venetian glasswork. Moving away from traditional single-pane reflections, Vitrail uses tinted glass segments to create a "window-like" decorative piece that frames light and color as much as it reflects the viewer. Inspired by antique mirrors framed with smaller glass fragments, Sempé developed a collection that combines clear and colored glass strips. These elements are held together by a soft rubber frame, creating a clean, industrial contrast to the delicate glass surface. The collection features eight versions across four distinct geometric shapes, each with a slim 1.6 cm depth: Depending on the frame color (Light Grey or Green), the Vitrail mirror segments feature varying tones like gold, emerald, pink, and blue. All shapes can be hung vertically or horizontally. The round version is unique for its ability to be mounted diagonally. Due to their graphic nature, these mirrors are ideal for grouping together to amplify light and add architectural interest to hallways or living spaces. The Magis Vitrail Mirror is a playful, sophisticated choice for those looking to move beyond standard silver mirrors into the world of functional wall art.
