The Groove Sideboard by Minottiitalia is a masterclass in texture and transparency. Designed to challenge the conventional "solid" look of storage furniture, this piece uses rhythmic, vertical lines and industrial-chic materials to create a light, ethereal presence in contemporary living or dining spaces. The defining feature of the Groove Sideboard is its use of ribbed tempered glass. Unlike traditional wooden cabinets, the Groove allows for a subtle "peek-through" effect that obscures clutter while playing with ambient light. The doors and sides are crafted from sandblasted, ribbed tempered glass with a transparent bronze finish. This creates a beautiful play of shadows and highlights (the "grooves") across the surface. The structure is supported by a sturdy MDF frame, finished in an embossed lacquer that provides a matte, sophisticated contrast to the reflective glass. Set on slender black feet, the sideboard appears to float, making it an ideal choice for maintaining an "open" feel in smaller rooms.
