The Lasso Ottoman by Kenneth Cobonpue is a stunning expression of sculptural playfulness and artisanal luxury. Designed to mimic the loops of a swinging rope, this versatile piece adds a poetic, lighthearted charm to high-end indoor or outdoor lounge spaces. The defining element of the Lasso Ottoman is its intricate, open-work base. It features repetitive, fluid loops woven from weather-resistant polyethylene fiber over a robust aluminum frame. The open, looping pattern allows light and breeze to flow freely through the base. This gives the ottoman a feeling of weightlessness, ensuring it never overwhelms patio decks or cozy indoor reading nooks. The continuous loops showcase Cobonpue's signature mastery of hand-weaving, turning a functional footrest into a miniature work of art. Equipped with high-density foam and premium outdoor fabric upholstery, it stands up beautifully to UV rays, salt water, and pool chlorine without sacrificing its soft, luxurious feel.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
