The Apollo Outdoor Daybed by world-renowned Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue is an absolute masterpiece of luxury and organic design. Inspired by a childhood fascination with building makeshift forts and spaceships, Cobonpue designed this capsule-shaped Apollo Outdoor daybed to look like an interstellar pod nesting comfortably in lush greenery. It retails as an ultra-luxury piece. What makes the Apollo daybed stand out is how it balances a heavy visual impact with an incredibly light, airy feel: It features a massive, capsule-shaped frame made of high-grade steel and aluminum. Cobonpue uses an open-weave pattern made of premium polyethylene strips. This design creates a private, protective cocoon while allowing the summer breeze to flow completely through the bed so you don't overheat. The interior is lined with premium, weather-resistant Sunbrella fabric cushions and an array of accent pillows designed to withstand rain, UV rays, and outdoor elements.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
