Capturing the visual motion of fluid movement frozen in time, the Corda Rectangular Dining Table by Kenneth Cobonpue is a mesmerizing blend of organic texture and structural precision. Inspired by a single strand moving through the air, this Corda Rectangular Dining Table uses an intricate web of knots, loops, and ties to create a stunning sculptural foundation beneath a clean glass surface. Natural cotton rope is meticulously hand-wrapped, knotted, and twisted around a molded steel framework, resulting in a balanced, flowing pattern. The rope base is treated with a protective liquid resin coating, preserving its surface and ensuring long-lasting structural resilience without sacrificing its soft texture. Features a clear tempered glass tabletop that rests lightly on the base, providing a full, unobstructed view of the elaborate weaving below. The heavy visual interest of the knotted web creates a striking balance against the light, transparent glass top.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
