Playful lines, graphic geometry, and vibrant hues come together in the Trame Armchair. Designed for Kenneth Cobonpue by Italian designer Federica Capitani, the Trame collection offers a fresh, spirited perspective on hand-weaving—blending Italian design sensibility with fine Philippine craft. Derived from the Italian word trame (meaning "weft" or "plot"), this Trame armchair reinterprets traditional weaving through a modern, architectural lens. The chair’s frame consists of five interlocking asymmetrical loops around which weather-resistant threads continuously circle and lock. Like tender fingers entwined, the woven strands create dynamic visual patterns that change as you walk around the piece, casting light and graphic shadow across patios, terraces, and gardens. Pushes traditional techniques into three dimensions, creating a light, airy silhouette that never sacrifices structural support. Hand-woven using high-durability polyethylene and nylon fiber wrapped over a powder-coated steel framework. Offered in a curated palette of expressive colors (such as Faery Blue, Avocado Green, and Pale Gray) complemented by high-performance outdoor cushions. Engineered to withstand outdoor elements while maintaining the soft, tactile sophistication expected in high-end indoor living spaces.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
