The Gobi Coffee Table High, part of Kenneth Cobonpue's Gobi Collection, is a striking and sculptural piece inspired by the arid beauty of desert landscapes. It's a taller version of the Gobi Coffee Table Low, offering a different perspective and functionality. The most defining feature is its hand-sculpted iron base. It evokes the organic, almost skeletal structure of a desert cactus, with textured, flowing lines and a rich, often patinated finish in warm metallic tones like copper or bronze. This base isn't just support; it's a work of art in itself. Unlike the low version, the "High" designation means this coffee table stands taller, making it more suitable for certain seating arrangements and creating a different visual dynamic in the room. It can serve as a focal point, commanding attention. The tabletop is typically made of clear glass. This allows the intricate beauty of the sculptural base to remain visible and unhindered. The glass surface provides a smooth, elegant platform for displaying objects or serving drinks.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETHCOBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
