The Little People Round Small Hanging Lamp scales down Kenneth Cobonpue’s iconic design concept into a compact, spherical suspension light. While the massive floor lamp uses the figures as a heavy structural base, this Little People Round Small Hanging Lamp pendant version lets them float dynamically in mid-air. Instead of supporting an external shade, the tiny human figures are the shade. The figures are hand-soldered together, holding hands and stretching outward to form a wild, organic sphere. The light bulb sits right at the center of the crowd. When switched on, the light radiates outward through the spaces between the figures. This creates a stunning, dramatic projection of shadows on the surrounding walls and ceiling, making the room feel like an extension of the artwork. It is typically available in a natural finish or a rich bronze coating applied over the salago-fiber-covered steel frame.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
