Erberto Carboni’s Delfino armchair is a significant example of the “organic” furniture that emerged in the 1950s. This style draws inspiration from nature without imitating it. The product is considered a unified structure without any breaks, a series of shapes that provide continuous support to the body with their sinuous lines. This concept resulted in highly decorative pieces, such as Delfino, which have a strong personality. With fins for arms and a harmonious, flexible body like that of a dolphin, this armchair, designed in 1954, was named after the graceful sea mammal.
