Imbue your dining room, sunroom, or luxury veranda with the monumental grace of the Hagia Side Chair by Kenneth Cobonpue. Taking its name and visual inspiration from the magnificent, soaring vaulted ceilings of historic cathedral architecture, this exquisite side chair translates sacred geometry into an effortlessly breezy, contemporary silhouette. The Hagia Side chair's signature allure lies in its sweeping backrest. Masterfully hand-woven fibers stretch upward and outward from the base, converging into pointed, gothic-style arches. It is a stunning visual paradox—evoking the structural weight of classic architecture while remaining entirely lightweight, translucent, and integrated with the surrounding landscape. The intricate, webbed open-weave patterns echo pointed cathedral vaults, casting dramatic, graphic shadows when placed in direct sunlight. The gently scooping back and wide seat pan wrap comfortably around the body, proving that high-concept avant-garde design does not sacrifice deep comfort. Crafted from premium polyethylene (PE) fiber hand-woven over an aluminum frame, the Hagia side chair transitions seamlessly from indoor dining salons to exposed oceanfront terraces. Paired with a high-resiliency, outdoor-grade seat cushion upholstered in premium weather-resistant textiles to complete the luxury seating experience.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
