The Hashi Modular Sofa is named after the Japanese word for "chopsticks." Its design is inspired by the minimal and rigid structure of the oriental instrument. This Hashi Modular Sofa features different modules with comfortable seat cushions made of variable density polyurethane foam and polyester fibers, covered with outdoor polyester canvas and a non-slip breathable bottom. The base and frames of the backrest are made of steel treated for outdoor use. What makes the Hashi Modular Sofa unique is its use of Accardi Outdoor Jaquard technical fabric, which wraps around the iroko wood elements at the bottom and top. This sustainable, lightweight, waterproof fabric is handcrafted by artisan weavers and creates a textured pattern that blends harmoniously with the wooden structure. This design highlights a reference to Japonisme and the local craft tradition.
