Bring the majestic, sweeping topography of the desert right into your living space. The Gobi Coffee Table (Low) by Kenneth Cobonpue scales down the vertical height of its companion piece to offer a grounded, anchoring presence. Designed to mimic the rounded, organic contours of desert stones and flora, the "Low" variant features a wider, more relaxed stance. This makes the Gobi Coffee Table Low an ideal center point for primary conversational seating arrangements, low-profile luxury sofas, or arranged in a nested pairing with the Gobi High table for a dynamic, multi-layered visual statement. The base is formed from clustered, paddle-like elements that evoke the natural armor of desert vegetation, infusing your interior with a raw yet highly sophisticated energy. The composite metallic base boasts a deeply dimpled, hand-hammered texture. It brilliantly catches shifting room light, casting soft shadows that mirror the movement of wind across desert dunes. Fitted with a crystal-clear tempered glass top that lets you look completely through the surface. This keeps your floor plan visually open while ensuring the intricate sculpture below remains the main attraction. The cold, crisp precision of the geometric glass top cuts sharply against the warm, heavily textured metal-bound base, embodying Cobonpue’s signature contrasting style.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETHCOBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
