An architectural triumph that captures the structural drama of historic engineering, the Hagia Dining Table by Kenneth Cobonpue acts as an intricate centerpiece for elevated dining. Named as a nod to classic cathedral geometry, this Hangia Dining Table bridges the gap between historical romance and cutting-edge material design. The Hagia collection is deeply inspired by the complex, vaulted structural networks found in medieval and Gothic architecture. Rather than relying on a heavy, solid pedestal, the table's base is formed from a sophisticated web of intersecting, overlapping polymer strips. Handwoven with precision, the structural ribbons create an asymmetrical, open-air lattice that mimics a dramatic rib-vaulted ceiling flipped upside down. Because the base utilizes an ethereal, see-through weave, the table maintains a completely lightweight, breezy presence. A thick, pristine circular glass top finishes the design, ensuring that the mesmerizing, sculptural geometry of the base remains fully visible from every seat. Unlike many of Cobonpue’s natural rattan designs, the Hagia collection is deliberately engineered using advanced synthetics, making it uniquely suited for both internal spaces and high-end outdoor environments.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
