Part of the award-winning Lolah collection, which famously integrated traditional boat-building techniques into modern furniture design, the Lolah Bar Cabinet is a masterful study in curvature, geometry, and functional elegance. It takes the signature horizontal slatting that put Cobonpue’s Lolah line on the global design map and wraps it into a sophisticated, circular storage unit built for modern entertaining. The Lolah Bar Cabinet blends organic, sculptural geometry with structural precision: Drawing from the ancestral craft of building wooden boats, individual rattan slats are bent and fastened by hand over a rigid steel frame. The horizontal, slatted exterior creates an incredible play of light and shadow, giving the cabinet a highly tactile, architectural quality. The cabinet doors slide or swing open gracefully along the curved track of the frame, revealing an organized, high-end interior.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
