The Hypostila Shelving is a versatile piece of furniture, made from extruded aluminum profiles that are connected using expansion pieces. This design allows for the shelves to be positioned anywhere without the need for holes. Bd has a particular interest in shelving, as it helps to organize spaces. The Hypóstila Shelving was created in 1979 by Lluís Clotet and Óscar Tusquets, and is made up of simple vertical uprights that are attached to the wall. These uprights are made from matte anodized aluminum and come in heights of 2, 3 or 4 meters. The shelves can be customized to fit any space and can even have rounded corners. White galvanized iron hardware is used to attach the profiles to the wall, while the feet are made from matte anodized cast aluminum. The shelves from Hypóstila II can be combined with those from Hypóstila I.
