The Acacia Coffee Table is a masterclass in organic modernism, showcasing Kenneth Cobonpue’s signature ability to mimic the fluid, structural intelligence of nature using fine, handcrafted materials. True to its name, the Acacia Coffee table is inspired by the striking silhouette of the African acacia tree. The table's base replicates a powerful tree trunk growing upward from a circular pedestal. As it reaches toward the top, the structure smoothly splits into three distinct, curved branches that gracefully sweep outward to support the tabletop. What gives the Acacia its incredible depth is the painstaking arrangement of natural rattan vines. Dozens of individual reeds are bundled tightly together, following the contour of the trunk and flowing along the branches. This linear texture accentuates the organic curves, creating a beautiful juxtaposition against the crisp, clean surface of the tabletop.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
