The Arflex Butterfly Armchair, designed by Mauro Lipparini in 2005, is a refined contemporary lounge chair distinguished by the interplay of its forms, upholstery, and supporting structure. Its construction combines a metal and poplar plywood structure with molded polyurethane foam and polyester fiber upholstery. The backrest incorporates metal and metallic mesh, while the back cushion uses feather goose down with down-proof fabric, contributing to the chair's inviting, relaxed character. Satin-finished metal feet provide a clean architectural counterpoint to the upholstered volumes. The Butterfly Armchair can be specified in fabric or leather, with the cover fully removable except when upholstered in leather.
