The Geisha Lantern Hanging Lamp, designed by Christy Manguerra for Kenneth Cobonpue, is a beautiful and elegant lighting fixture that draws inspiration from the gentle glow of traditional Japanese lanterns and the graceful form of a Geisha. It's a modern interpretation that brings a touch of Eastern charm and sophistication to contemporary interiors. The lamp features a sleek and minimalist design, characterized by clean lines and a gently curved silhouette reminiscent of a traditional Japanese lantern. The shade, often crafted from woven rattan or other natural fibers, is the most striking element. It diffuses the light softly, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The form can evoke the silhouette of a Geisha, adding a subtle artistic touch. The Geisha Lantern Hanging Lamp exudes a sense of understated elegance and tranquility. The woven shade creates a beautiful interplay of light and shadow, adding depth and intrigue to the piece. It's a lamp that can complement a variety of interior styles, from contemporary and minimalist to more traditional or even bohemian.

After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
