Inspired by the philosophy of master designer Kenneth Cobonpue—"We must bend, but never break"—the Yoda End Table captures the wild, unyielding spirit of nature. Part of the legendary Yoda collection (famous for its iconic high-back chairs that graced global summits and celebrity homes), this sculptural side table brings a vibrant, organic energy into high-end modern living spaces. The Yoda end table collection is defined by its exploration of the natural tension of its materials. Mimicking a dense clump of tall wild grass swaying verdantly on a summer's day, the table transforms rigid structure into an illusion of fluid motion. A rigid, powder-coated steel structure anchors the piece, hidden beneath a flurry of organic lines. Slender, flexible rattan vines or high-performance nylon twines are bent with tension precision. Run your fingers over the top to hear the satisfying, mimetic tapping sound of the natural strips as a breeze flows through them. The dense arrangement of flexible vines creates a unique visual rhythm, casting beautiful geometric shadows when caught in ambient light. Each end table is entirely handcrafted in Cebu, Philippines, ensuring that the natural variation of the vine makes every piece a unique art object. The untamed, textural look acts as the perfect juxtaposition to standard, flat-faced modern seating, injecting immediate personality next to a luxury sofa or armchair. Built to endure, the tight nylon binding ensures that the tensioned rattan remains structurally flawless while preserving its signature flexible bounce.

General Information
After spending years abroad, Kenneth Cobonpue returned to Cebu, Philippines, in 1996 to take over his mother Betty's furniture design and manufacturing company. Betty, who is a designer and a Pratt graduate, founded the company. Kenneth realized that modern design could be reinvented using natural fibers and materials. He began creating the pieces that now make up the collection by blending locally sourced organic materials with innovative handmade production techniques. This offered an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. He pays tribute to the talent of craftsmen, which forms the basis of the designs produced by KENNETH COBONPUE today. The company produces high-end indoor and outdoor furniture and furnishings known for their artistic imprint and unique visual impact. All creations skillfully integrate nature, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative technologies.
